Finally, the good news has arrived: Palm Tree reopens next Monday, May 25!
Taking into account the measures of the second phase of the unlockdown plan implemented by the Portuguese government, which started on May 18 and allow the reopening of restaurants, cafes, pastries (with capacity up to 50%) and terraces, we are very happy to be able to announce the reopening of Palm Tree Cascais.
We will be open from Tuesday to Sunday, between 9:30 am and 9:30 pm, to serve you the tasty meals you have already accustomed to!
We know how our customers were looking forward to this return, but we also understand and are alert to the fear felt by all people in the return to normality, due to the permanence in the country of the pandemic of COVID-19.
We are aware of this situation and it is for this reason that we want to assure you that we will follow all the guidelines of the General Directorate of Health (DGS) regarding the hygiene and safety standards most appropriate to the situation we are currently experiencing.
Thus, and to ensure the well-being, health and safety of all our customers and employees, we will adopt the following procedures:
a) Placement of several devices with alcohol gel for disinfecting hands at the entrance/exit and in the restaurant’s toilets;
b) Preparation of tables for the arrival of customers, with the disinfection of tables and chairs;
c) We guarantee social distance from non-cohabitants;
d) We’ll wash all dishes, cutlery and glasses at 80 degrees;
e) Direct access to the Menus via tablet or mobile phone (using QR Code);
f) Sanitization of all surfaces, such as tables, chairs, counters, tablets, Automatic Payment Terminals (TPAs), all areas and materials used during the operation of the restaurant, in each use;
g) Cleaning of floors, toilets and door handles, 4 to 6 times a day;
h) We will have electronic taps for approximation in all sanitary installations;
i) Technical training on the code of good practice for all employees, given by an accredited company (Maxquality);
j) The uniforms will be changed daily;
l) Employees will use a level 3 mask;
m) Daily temperature control for employees, electronically;
n) Reception of all goods with disinfection (Suma Coloro) made at the entrance of the restaurant;
o) Contingency plan for possible cases of COVID-19, whether customers or employees;
p) We changed our hygiene plan to the COVID reality (with johnsondiversey products).
Despite all these measures, there are things that will remain the same: the unmistakable taste of our dishes and the friendliness of our employees! We want the Palm Tree to continue to be known in Cascais for the excellent experience it provides to those who visit it. Therefore, we will make every effort for you to continue to feel good, safe and enthusiastic in our company, doing what we know best: bringing together those who like to eat well and socialize.
